FGN Global Logistics: Leading the Way in Environmental, Social Responsibility and Governance within the Flexitank Logistics Industry
Environmental Commitment
At FGN Global Logistics, we pride ourselves on being a leader in the flexitank logistics industry. Our standard operating procedures (SOPs) and controls ensure the safe and secure handling of bulk liquids, making our processes the most comprehensive in the industry. This dedication to safety has resulted in what is believed to be the lowest incident rate in the flexitank sector.
Our flexitanks are designed and manufactured to the highest industry standards, and we are proud to offer Container Owners Association (COA) compliant flexitanks. It is a rigorous process to achieve compliance, and compliance certifies that our flexitanks and manufacturing processes meet or exceed ISO 9002 and British Standards Institute (BSI) standards.
As a continuation to our environmental commitment, FGN was the first flexitank logistics company to develop extensive rail transload operations in the United States. Over the past decade, this initiative has removed thousands of trucks from the road, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to a more sustainable environment.
Social Responsibility
Employee Relationships
FGN was established with the goal of benefiting our key stakeholders: customers, employees, and shareholders. We consider our employees to be our most valuable resource and employ a unique “professional services” operational model that offers a superior benefit to our customers. Our professional training program is taken very seriously, and our profit-sharing plan helps us retain tenured employees and sustain exceptional service to our customers.
Supplier Relationships
We maintain long-term relationships with our suppliers, which is unique in the volatile flexitank logistics industry. Since our formation, we have partnered with the same OEM flexitank manufacturer. Our truckers, warehousemen, trans-loaders, and ocean carriers are closely integrated with us through systems integration, training procedures, and other key business processes. FGN has also established a reputation in the industry for our excellent payment record allowing us to maintain critical vendor relationships to ensure the highest level of customer service in the industry.
Customers and Community Relationships
As a customer-facing entity, we understand that our customers are the key to our success. We strive to keep our promises and communicate efficiently and professionally. We actively maintain a relationship with and hire from the logistics program at the College of Charleston as well as support the Gibbes Museum of Art.
Governance
FGN is a privately held, South Carolina registered “S” Corporation headquartered in Charleston. It is management-owned and operated, and also a veteran-owned enterprise. The state-registered officers of the company are residents of South Carolina and are based at our headquarters in Charleston.
We maintain stringent financial controls through a sophisticated financial package fully integrated with our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Our banking partner provides us with a comprehensive range of banking and lending resources. Thanks to our deep understanding of international logistics processes, FGN has enjoyed a stable, high-growth, and profitable ten+ year financial history.
As a closely held, executive-owned enterprise, our shareholders’ incentives are directly aligned with the operational and financial objectives of the company. These rights are detailed in the FGN Operating Agreement, which is on file with the State of South Carolina and maintained by our company registrar.
As the world and the logistics industry continue to evolve, so does FGN. We are constantly exploring new ways to enhance our commitments in the Environmental, Social, and Governance sectors, all while ensuring we provide the maximum benefit to our customers.
